While you’re downtown, stop by the new Spirit Communications Park to watch the Fireflies baseball team catch a win or bring the family to the EdVenture Children’s Museum or even the Columbia Museum of the Arts! A few minutes down the road the Riverbanks Zoo brings wildlife to the metro with various animals and beautiful gardens. Across the way, the Cayce Riverwalk allows for you to enjoy a luxurious walk by the Congaree River and maybe even make a splash too.
Don’t forget, the Village at Sandhills and Harbison shopping scene has blossomed over the years making them two hot spots for weekends and fun times with friends and family. Welcome to the Famously Hot Columbia!!
Columbia is not only the capital of South Carolina, but it is also a city hustling and bustling with new things to do yearly as it grows in quantity and quality. Fort Jackson sits right off of I-77 for any military families and/or recruits going into basic training.
We have many local newspapers such as The State and a local favorite free paper known as the “FreeTimes”. Grab a copy and head down to Drip Coffee in Five Points or choose from the variety of unique, home grown spots in The Vista or downtown on Main Street.
